Painting With Light OR Don't Litter in Peace Park

This was a fun shoot. Ashley, Jeff, Jon, Dan, and I set up organized chaos on the bridge in Peace Park, totally baffling the occasional passers-by. I think at one point we also confused the heck out of Pinar, who was walking at the other end of the park. She looked over, and probably saw what appeared to be a red and white flashing explosion that kept calling her name.

We didn't use any Photoshop tricks to make this - it was all done in-camera with a long exposure and the clever use of cardboard, strobes, and flashlights.

cool outtakes

This is an outtake from the rock climbing shoot. The flash didn't fire, but I got this great silhouette! Unfortunately, without fill flash, it kinda looks like he's hanging himself, so it's rather unusable... but still cool.

Multiple Flash... hanging off a cliff

Nathan Moore, 18, tackles a limestone cliff at Capen Park. The Mizzou freshman has only been climbing for two months, but admits he is hooked. Moore's love of climbing came as no surprise. "As a kid I climbed on everything - trees and stuff. Just everything," he explained. Now, however, he's all about the live rock.

I'm hanging off a cliff! Weeeeeeeee!
